The Official Playmakers is a registered non-profit organisation. The name Official Playmakers was formally ear-marked in the index of the non-profit organisations on 29 October 2015 and it is chaired by Vernon Jansen from Deben.
The organisation was established in 2012 and operated without having been  register-ed. The Official Playmakers seeks to help youth in and around JTG district with their specific focus on Gamagara as it is based in the area.
The key objective of the institute is to develop young people through creative arts and sports and make youths aware of the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse, provide career guidance and fight against crime. The other purposes of this foundation are to keep young people healthy, stimulate their minds and develop their skills and conduct entertainment and relaxation activities.
On 13 May 2017, the non-profit organisation held soccer and netball competitions at Deben sports grounds, though only two
schools attended the event out of the five schools that had been invited to participate.
Deben Primary School defeated Noord-Kaap Primary School from Olifantshoek by 3 goals to 2.
On the netball side, girls from Noord-Kaap Primary School humiliated Deben Primary girls in their back yard by 7 points to 3.
The event was made possible courtesy of  Elrinda Rose and Robert Sebastian both from Khumani mine. They sponsored the games with medals and trophies.
